Fischer's top cross country skate ski is lighter! The engineers at Fischer took some weight off by creating a hole in the already light carbon tip. While this may be a small amount of weight savings, it is done at the extremity of the ski so the swing weight is reduced where it is most critical. Also, in testing the ski, we felt that the ski initiates its glide much faster. Fischer's bidirectional Air Core with multiaxial carbon fiber provides this ski with unprecedented control and power transfer through a wide range of snow conditions. The skis have advanced stone ground patterns and are pre-waxed for maximum speed. For 2010 it is offered with a NIS Plate:
